St Denis and Sherbrooke is a trendy bar strip
but now that hill reminds me of a baton tip
Drinkin 40s behind Chaos I'll never be at ease
riot cops on my mind, so I stay on my feet
Montreal is the city where I live,
Never called any other place my home,
The view from the hill, the lights in the night
It'll never look the same, not since the strike
Construction cones are a common sight but
they take on new meaning when they're set alight
The buildings of the major banks stand big and tall
but they're less intimidating if you've seen those windows fall
Bruised ribs and insane with rage,
tear gas on my breath and I'm runnin away
can't shake these flashbacks that chase me across town
those few times we owned the streets and tore their icons down
fell into Days n' Daze when I was travelling, thanks to some of my road dogs. I don't have that freedom anymore but I feel a piece of it Everytime I listen to their music. love y'all! thefool309

As much as I like the current line up, I do miss the dynamic that Marissa's voice added to the band. Plus, she's one of the better washboard players out there. Terry Aston
